Welcome to Stitchcraft
Stitchcraft has always been about beautifully handmade things - for years, that meant helping our customers create their own, from our shop full of yarn, fabric and craft supplies in Richmond, Nelson. Away from the shop, we have spent 2 decades tending to 75 acres in the Riwaka Valley, where Te Puna Wai O Riuwaka emerges from the limestone caves, winding past native forest, woodland and gardens we've managed in an environmentally sensitive manner. Between running Stitchraft and working the land, tailoring and growing have always run side by side in our lives - one of us behind the sewing machine, the other among the trees. Now we're bringing both worlds together. Our First Harvest collection is vintage-inspired, hand-tailored clothing made from carefully kept fabric gathered over years in the shop, and in time from our own fibre that we have grown and raised ourselves on the property. Every piece is designed to last, made slowly, and rooted in the land it comes from - the next chapter of a business that's always believed in making things properly.
